Blockchain games are developing rapidly, but they remain unaffordable for many users. Most play-to-earn games require the purchase of an NFT to access the full functionality of the gameplay. Often, these tokens are worth hundreds of dollars. Not every game lover is ready to part with such an amount. We studied the P2E market and chose the most accessible and exciting games to spend time on.

Beam (BEAM)

Beam token stands as a leading gaming cryptocurrency within the BEAM network, which is designed for the purpose to unify gamers and developers. It currently hosts over 15 games in its ecosystem. This flexible software development kit empowers game developers to seamlessly integrate blockchain elements into their games using a variety of tools.

At its core, the BEAM token serves as the primary currency for interacting within the Beam network. Users utilize BEAM tokens to cover transaction fees and engage with smart contracts. Notably, transaction fees collected in BEAM are split into two parts: a portion goes to validators, while the remainder is burned, contributing to token scarcity and value. Currently operating on a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism, Beam ensures network security and reliability by requiring participants to earn consensus rights. This is achieved through a decentralized 4 out of 8 multi-signature model, involving various contributors to the Merit Circle DAO.

With the maximum supply of 62,434,008,330 BEAM tokens, Beam maintains scarcity, by managing its value proposition within the gaming and blockchain ecosystem. It has a market cap of $959,789,152 with the current token price of $0.0194.

Pixels (PIXEL)

PIXEL stands out as one of the top gaming cryptocurrency projects inspired by Minecraft, serving as the native token for Pixels, a pioneering Play-to-Earn game hosted on the Ronin sidechain. This platform allows players to own individual Land NFTs, customize their plots, and engage in battles with other players to earn PIXEL tokens. Crafting, competing in minigames, and renting out lands are the primary goals through which players accumulate PIXEL tokens, enhancing both gameplay and economic participation.

Players do get a list of other features from the platform such as purchasing exclusive in-game items, participating in the vibrant marketplace, and wield influence over the governance of Pixels as active community members. Additionally, PIXEL holders gain access to VIP battle passes and premium features, enriching their gaming experience and rewarding their commitment to the platform. With the maximum supply of 5,000,000,000 PIXEL tokens, it maintains scarcity and improves the trust among the users with the trading volume of over $34,278,919 in 24-hour.

pikamoon

Pikamoon

Pikamoon is a new altcoin that has a lot of room to grow in the upcoming years. PIKA demand is anticipated to increase in tandem with the game’s player base as more individuals become interested in Pikamoon’s AAA gaming experience. There are many different P2E gaming scenarios available to users as soon as they enter the Pikaverse.

Pikamoon garnered attention during the presale stage. The project attracted many early investors who funded it and raised awareness about it. It ran a successful inning and closed with a handsome amount. The coin is now listed and available for trading on popular and highly-secured crypto exchanges. The coin is currently trading at $0.0003553 with a market cap of $6,219,000. As per the latest stats, its 24-hour trading volume is around $27,538. No doubt that in the future the project’s value will significantly grow.

There are already attractive possibilities for gem seekers. Initially Cheelee listed its token CHEEL on Coinsbit, and its price has already grown significantly. Now is the best time to buy, considering the project’s potential mass adoption and relatively low token’s current price. CHEEL is also just listed on BitMart – another great opportunity to buy it with a relatively low price!

Sunflower Land

It’s a play-to-earn NFT farming game on the Polygon blockchain, and it’s just like Farmville! This game is so simple, even your grandma could do it. You get to plant, craft, chop, mine, fish, and fight your way to becoming a farming boss. And the best part? You can combine the items you mine to create rare stuff to sell on the open market. Plus, you can craft tools to make your farming journey a breeze.

Different plants take different amounts of time to grow and need more and more SFF tokens to buy seeds. But don’t worry, you can earn those tokens by planting crops, chopping wood, and mining stones. When you spend those tokens in the game, they go into a rewards pool, and every three days, you’re eligible to receive a share of that pool depending on your farm size. So, the bigger your farming empire, the more rewards you get!

And the best part? Sunflower Land is super easy to get started with – all you need is $5.

Splinterlands

This auto-battler card game is like a mash-up of Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering, with a side of NFT collectibility. Each card is one-of-a-kind and only yours.

Built on the Hive blockchain, Splinterlands is a place where players face off in one-on-one duels. You’ll pick your summoner, choose a bunch of creatures that match your summoner’s element, and strategize like a boss. With seven elements to choose from (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon, and Neutral), the possibilities are endless. Each monster card has its own special abilities, so you’ll need to think quick and pick the perfect combination to beat your opponent.

The best part is that you can earn card and token rewards just by playing. If you want to earn rewards, you’ll need to buy a Summoner’s Spellbook for $10.

Alien Worlds

Are you ready to blast off into the world of Alien Worlds and mine some serious loot? This DeFi metaverse is built on the WAX blockchain and your goal is to get your hands on Trillium, a super rare material found on seven different worlds. Each world has 500 player-owned land plots, represented by their own NFT.

You can earn Trilium in the game, then transfer it to the Binance Smart Chain and earn even more through staking. All you need to start is 5 WAXP ($1.25) in your wallet. Every new player gets a shovel to start digging, but if you want to up your game, you’ll need cooler tools like drills and excavators – all NFTs, of course. You can buy them on the marketplaces, but the more dough you have, the more opportunities you’ll have from the get-go.

You can also make money by owning land that’s being mined, or by selling rare artifacts you find on your adventures.

Illuvium

Illuvium is an Ethereum-based RPG with play-to-earn mechanics. In Illuvium, players get to explore a digital world filled with native creatures (Illuvials), in-game items, and NFT collectibles that can give you the upper hand in battles and quests. These NFTs can also be sold for real cash on NFT marketplaces.

There are seven different landscapes to discover and over 100 Illuvials to find. You can start playing in the Tier 0 regions without investing any money, but these lands don’t produce any resources, so you won’t make any cash. If you want to earn resources, you’ll have to explore the Tier 1 to 5 regions, which can range from $600 to millions of dollars. So, while it’s not exactly free, the adventure and rewards make it worth it!

Thus, we can see that P2E games do not necessarily require serious investments at the start, and therefore are available to all game lovers. It’s hardly about making millions sitting on the couch. However, P2E games allow not only to spend time doing what you love, but also to improve your standard of living.
